JOSIE

Josie was found running loose with another dog Jezebel and is good with other dogs that are around her size and energy level. She is affectionate and playful, good with teenagers and motherly towards Jezebel but appears to have not been socialized with cats and should go to a home without cats. Josie would be an excellent candidate for agility or fly ball.

ROSCOE

Roscoe was surrendered to the shelter as he wasn't a good fit in the new household he had just arrived in. The resident cats didn't like him even though he fled from them when they hissed and swatted. He is good with cats and other dogs and has an excellent disposition. He is friendly and calm, quiet in his kennel and doesn't take any time to warm up to new people. He will need a bit of leash training but he is happy to learn and eager to please. Roscoe would make an excellent family dog but would love that family to have a big yard and take lots of walks to help him shed the pounds he needs to lose.

CRUMPET

Crumpet is a 12 week old female bull terrier mix puppy. She was brought to the vet with a broken front leg but her owner could not afford to pay for treatment and signed her over to the shelter. She has had to have her leg amputated and will take some time to recover but is doing well. Dogs manage very well with 3 legs and can live a long and happy life.

RIVER

Size: Medium to large when full-grown

River was given to the shelter because of medical issues his owner was having. He's a fairly calm dog for his age and was in the process of learning to become a therapy dog. He has been around children and other dogs and shows little interest in cats. River would make a great dog for any type of family but we would like him to go to a home where there is someone home most of the day because of his age.

BISHOP

Coat: Short bristle coat, minimal shedding
Activity Level: Medium-High

Bishop came to the shelter after his rescuer was unable to keep him due to space. Bishop is good with some dogs, mostly females and will go to a home without cats. He is excellent with people and doesn't bark when someone pulls into the driveway or knocks on the door. He would make a poor guard dog! This big, goofy loving dog is looking for a home that understands what his breed is truly all about and is willing to devote the time and effort needed to make him the best he can be. This handsome boy knows sit, down, stay, shake and leave it. Bishop pulls on the leash and needs work off-leash but is excellent in the car and in the home. Obedience training will be mandatory for this adoption.
