Hey guys, remember me - Rodney?! I've been with my new family for about 8 months already and boy am I loving them! And if I may say so myself, that feeling is totally mutual - they love me too!
Of course when I just started living with them, we all had to get used to each other. But soon we got into the groove. It took a little longer for the cats Boris and Ashley to kinda like me. I suppose I spooked them a little cause I just wanted to play with them so if they tried to sniff me, I would chase after them. But now we are all good friends.
My owners all love animals. At the moment there is 6 of us living in the house. Besides me and the cats there are two guinea pigs and a hamster. Since they live in cages they're not much fun to play with ;-) Oh, I got to tell you this. The house we live in is nice and big - three levels in all, so much room to roam around. Of course I got my favorite spots - one is on the couch while the girls watch TV. Then there's also a huge yard. I don't need to be on the leash to be in the yard cause I don't even think of walking away. They gave me lots of toys to play with (see, in the picture I got some of those rope toys - playing tug-of-war is soooo much fun!) and we go out for lots of walks. My people seem to enjoy those walks as much as me!
You know what is fun too? Tracking down a squirrel and trying to chase him. Man, they are fast I tell ya! We sometimes also see deer in our yard. I softly bark at them but that doesn't seem to scare them. I'm not really a barking kinda dog.
Both my people and I love to play and cuddle together so really, what more could I want? I can see us being happy for many, many more years!
Well, so long for now. I may check in again at some point in time. To all the people that read my story I can truly say that adopting a pet is the best thing you can do! So go check out the list here - maybe your eye catches a handsome fellow like myself or a cute little kitten or......

PS: I've added some photos. First one was me when I lived in the shelter. I've matured a bit since than but can still grinn like a silly puppy. Me running is fun to watch too!
