King

King was listed on your website as a "special case" because he had been at the shelter for quite a period of time. After visiting him at the Shelter, I applied to adopt and was so very lucky to have been given King. I didn't change his name, he's called KingDog most of the time.
He has not given one moment of grief since I brought him home....no messes in the house, no destruction, always a gentlemen. We did have a bit of a battle over his habit of sleeping on the furniture. He has his own bed beside the wood stove now and no longer wants to sleep on our furniture!
There are 2 cats in our home and there was some concern that he wouldn't get along well with them, and to be quite truthful, that was a bit of a challenge at first. After a few sermons, he's learned to tolerate them very well. They can be left alone together and he even shares his bed with them occasionally. He has a few quirks for sure... he doesn't like the outdoors very much and given the choice, will lay for hours in the sun, inside the house by the patio door! He's quite possessive of his toys, and plays a little rough. but we think with lots of time for playing over the summer months, he'll improve in those areas as well!
As you can see by the pictures, KingDog has become quite a handsome fella, seems to be very happy and has become a well loved member of our family. Thanks for him!
