Peggy (Sula)

Hi Chris!
Just wanted to give you an update on Peggy (Now called Sula).Peggy

She was quite overwhelmed when she was first brought home and her and my parents dog did not hit it off well...in fact they tried to eat each other. We are going at it with a different approach now and think that if they are introduced Peggyslowly they will tolerate each other. Did she get along with all the dogs at the shelter? She seems quite possessive of me already and loves to lay right on top of me when she is let out of her crate in the morning. She ADORES stuffed animals, dental chews and kissing anyone who will let her near their face. She sleeps very well in her crate at night and when I am out of the house and Peggythough her and the cats are still not best friends I believe they will learn to live together. She had her first vet visit with me yesterday and we found she had a roaring case of cunjuntivitis which is being treated with eye drops which she takes very well. She loves her walks especially in the snow. We woke up to a white out storm today and she was in heaven. It was a joy to watch and play with her. She is strong as an ox but walks beautifully on a gentle leader.

So far I think we are doing very well together, she starts obedience training in a couple of weeks and Peggyuntil then I am doing my best with the basics. You see it in her eyes that she is eager to please and just soaks up attention.I absolutely love her and want to thank you for taking such good care of her so I could find her. We've got a ways to go but we'll relish every minute of it.

Happy New Year to everyone at the shelter.
