Daytona (Astro)

"In June 2007, I drove two hours to the LA Animal Shelter to meet a dog I’d read about on the website. As it turned out, he wasn’t going to be a good fit for my family (my husband, our two lovely dogs, and two bunnies). Dawn, a shelter worker, introduced me to another dog, Daytona (now Astro). I wasn’t sure that I wanted to see him, but as Astro and I went for a walk and spent some time together in the shelter, I started to fall in love with him! I let him meet my other two dogs and they got along fine. Astro went home with us that day.

 

Astro is our precious boy. People who meet him think he’s a great fellow. He is a happy, intelligent, busy, cuddlebug! He cuddles up with us and our other dogs. Astro is so nosey...always has to see what we're doing and he's always in our way when he's "supervising" (LOL)! Astro makes us laugh everyday with his funny ways. He loves to play and is likely keeping our oldest dog young. Astro is a joy and we can’t imagine our family without him!

Thank you so much Dawn, for taking him out of his cage on that June day to visit with me. Astro was meant to be our dog! He was a perfect choice!
